The other day I asked a question on facebook, asking how many times a week you eat animal products. I had a good response, and I would like to say something when it comes to performance ( I am taking the health aspect out).
When you train your body get acid, the more intense it is the training the more acidic your body gets. Now is proven that animal products and high processed foods make your body acid.....so now the question is: Why would you eat animal products to make your body more acid? why would you cause more stress on your body after you cause a lot of stress training? don't you want to recover from the workout? Think about that.
You can make your body less acidic with a plant based diet, therefor you will recover faster conseguently you will improve faster! Think about that!
